Anointing Flow Like Never Before

Updated: Sep 25, 2021

Yokes Destroyed and Burdens Removed because of the Anointing

Isaiah 10:27 says, "the burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, the yoke will be taken off thy neck... the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing."

The Anointing destroys yokes, bondages and burdens.

In Luke 4:18,19 Jesus said, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19) To preach the acceptable year of the Lord."

What Can We Learn from these Passages of Scriptures?

In Isaiah 10:27, it talks about the yoke being taken off thy neck.

What is a yoke?

A yoke is a clamp that embraces two parts to hold an animal in position. A frame by which two animals are coupled at the heads or necks for working together. Spiritually, a yoke also represents servitude, heavy burden or bondage.

A reference to the spiritual yoke being bondage is stated in Galatians 5:1, "Standfast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."

God Want Us to be Free

How do we get free?

Back to Isaiah 10:27, the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing.

To anoint means to rub or smear on. But this scripture is not talking about a verb to anoint or as in rubbing on some ointment to destroy yokes, but talking about a noun, a person who can destroy yokes.

Christ said in Luke 4:18, "the Spirit of the Lord is upon me and He hath anointed me."

The anointing represents God, the Holy Spirit and Christ. God anointed Christ by the Holy Spirit. The name Christ literally means, the Messiah, the Anointed One.

So Isaiah was talking about a day when Christ, the anointed one, would be sent to make it possible for our deliverance. To take the yokes off our necks, destroy them and take away their ability to hold, hinder or bind us any longer.

Isaiah prophesied it many years before, (see Isaiah 61:1). Jesus quoted it and it was recorded in Luke 4:18, 19:

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

But then after Jesus quoted it, He said in Luke 4:21,

21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

What did Jesus mean, “this day this scripture is fulfilled in your ears.?” He was letting them and us know that from that day forward; the anointing would be available to preach to the poor, (that they don't have to stay poor). The anointing would be available to save, heal, deliver, and set free.

And not only was the anointing in and on Jesus to empower Him to operate, but the anointing, (who is Jesus) is available for us, empowering us to operate in and through the power and anointing of Jesus Christ, (the Anointed One). .

So, I pray, Father God, thank you for sending Jesus, the Anointed One. We declare the name of Jesus over every situation and circumstance and command every yoke that is trying to bind and burden your precious child to be overthrown and destroyed. Father, by your Spirit, anoint their head and life with fresh oil of the anointing.

Kingdom Blessings,
